SJ Berwin Advises The Ukrainian Government

Friday 12th November 2004

SJ Berwin's Commercial Litigation Department is pleased to announce that it has recently been appointed an approved provider of litigation services to the Ukrainian Government.

Since the hire of David Goldberg as co-head of International Arbitration in April 2004, he has been focusing his attention on growing SJ Berwin’s International Arbitration practice, alongside Tim Taylor and in particular concentrating on the ex CIS countries.
David Goldberg says: "This appointment is an excellent opportunity for SJ Berwin to build on our relationship with the Ukrainian Government. The Commercial Litigation department has a strong reputation in international disputes and we look forward to working closely with the Government over the next few years."

The Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Mr Marmazov says: "SJ Berwin seemed the natural choice to advise us on our international disputes. The technical ability of the team as well as the linguistic skills of their lawyers matched the requirements we will need to draw upon in the near future."
