SJ Berwin (Paris) acted for SI Finance in the future acquisition of Monaroc, the holding company of the Fabricauto group, from a holding company controlled by 3i.  The Fabricauto group is the French leader in the field of the manufacturing and sale of numberplates.

The consolidated group accounts of the Fabricauto group show a turnover of 26.6 million euros for the year ending 2003.

The acquisition will be financed in part by private equity funding and in part by a senior credit facility arranged by Fortis bank.

The acquisition is subject to the authorisation of the French Economy and Finance Minister in terms of the competition aspects of the transaction.
