SJ Berwin LLP Nominate Cystic Fibrosis Trust as its Charity of the Year

Thursday 16th November 2006

SJ Berwin LLP is pleased to announce that it has nominated the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as its Charity of the Year.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's only national charity working to fund research into a cure and to ensure appropriate clinical care and support for people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease.

The main aim of the partnership between SJ Berwin LLP and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust is to raise money to fund the training of a Cystic Fibrosis consultant at the Brompton Hospital in London, providing much needed specialist care for people with CF both today and in the future.

Niamh Grogan, the Partner responsible for the firm's relationship with CF Trust, said: "We are very excited and proud to be working alongside the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and have already received tremendous support, enthusiasm and fundraising ideas from staff around the firm.  We have very high hopes for raising a considerable amount of money and awareness for this well deserved cause and truly hope to help make a significant improvement to the lives of people with CF."

Commenting on the new partnership, Sarah Guthrie, Director of Fundraising at Cystic Fibrosis Trust, said: "We are thrilled to join with SJ Berwin LLP in this new partnership and look forward to a year of income and awareness raising.  The training of a specialist consultant will make a big difference in the lives of many young adults with Cystic Fibrosis now and in the years to come."
