SJ Berwin Wins UK Firm of the Year Award
This award recognises the Firm’s success over the last year. Legal Week states: "The crown goes to SJ Berwin… the client feedback is superb, not only in the awards research, but also Legal Week's client satisfaction survey, which polled more than 200 FTSE companies... Securing financial integration with its German arm crowns five years of international expansion that SJ Berwin has pulled off far more successfully than many larger rivals."
The SJ Berwin real estate team was 'highly commended' at the same awards ceremony. The team was described as "one of the fastest-growing in the City and looked strong across a range of areas, including development, funds and planning." Legal Week stated: "For all round performance [the team] was hard to beat".
Managing Partner Ralph Cohen commented: “This is a tremendous achievement for everybody in the Firm. It is all the more significant given that this Award, in contrast to most others, was based entirely on independently sourced opinions from the market, general counsel, clients and competing firms. It has been an exciting year and we are extremely proud to have been recognised by the market in this way."
