Stephen Kon was awarded the Best Achievement in Copyright Practice for the role that the team played in achieving a ground breaking victory for William Hill in its dispute over database rights. The judges said "This was a landmark decision. It is very complex and the first important case for databases. The outcome of this case will alter EC perceptions."
